WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS DIY LATTE

  • Less sugar: In a tall 12 oz cup pumpkin spice latte at ****bucks, there are about 300 calories and 40 grams of sugar, which is 10 teaspoons of sugar!

  • This homemade version has half the sugar; the cane sugar can be completely omitted or reduced to your liking. There is also only 200 calories per serving.

  • Loaded with pumpkin: This recipe has real pumpkin puree, not just syrup that tastes like pumpkin. That makes this latte so much more decadent!

  • Cheaper than buying it: Lattes can be expensive if you have them frequently. So, occasionally, it’s nice to whip it up at home at a fraction of the cost to buy it and only 5 minutes to prepare.

  • Tastes like fall: It has all the fall flavors in one cup and is cozy and comforting. It’s like a big hug in a mug!

INGREDIENTS YOU’LL NEED

  • Pumpkin Purée: This requires a couple of tablespoons of pumpkin puree. We like to use canned pumpkin, and you can also make your puree at home. If going with canned pumpkin, ensure it’s not the pumpkin pie filling. You want just plain pumpkin purée.

  • Coffee: This requires Peacemaker Dark Roast robust-tasting coffee or Peacemaker Coffee Company - Pumpkin Pie Coffee. We used Peacemaker Coffee Company Dark Roast black coffee, but you could use decaf. Expresso also works great in this recipe.

  • Pumpkin pie spice mix: You can easily make your pumpkin pie spice at home with a simple recipe. Or you can buy it premixed at the store.

  • Milk: You’ll need milk for this recipe. We used almond milk, but you could use any milk – Whole, Soy, Oat, etc.

  • Vanilla extract: Vanilla extract adds a nice flavor.

  • Sweetener: We used cane sugar to sweeten the latte, but you could use any sweetener – Honey, Agave Nectar, Stevia, etc.
